Eligibility: To be considered for the University of Texas Scholarship, applicants must have:
- Background in calculus, general physics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and general biology, including genetics. Students intending to pursue research in computational biology should possess some background in mathematics and programming. Entering students without this background may be required to take additional coursework in their first year or in the summer immediately preceding entry.
