The University of Saskatchewan is currently inviting applicants to apply for the graduate opportunity at the Department of Nutrition (The Cochrane Laboratory).
The project aims to investigate the impact of feeding HIV-infected breast milk to babies. It seeks an alternative to the use of donated breast milk as a way to provide babies with the benefits of breast milk without the risk of passing on HIV.
In this study, the lab will invite pregnant individuals living with HIV and caregivers of HIV-exposed infants to participate in a focus group or semi-structured private interview to understand their feelings about providing donated breast milk to their babies.
