The University of Quebec Graduate Scholarship presents an exciting opportunity for two graduate students to engage in research focused on exploring the added value of the new regional climate model.
The ESCER center (Étude et Simulation du Climat à l’Échelle Régionale) at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is seeking to recruit three graduate students to be part of a project funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada.

Value & Duration of Award: The University of Quebec Graduate Scholarship offers a generous scholarship of $20,000 per year. Additionally, a base amount of $13,000 is granted to all full-time students enrolled during the 3 years of study: Year 1: $5,000, Year 2: $4,000, and Year 3: $4,000 Eligible Countries: All Countries
Eligibility: To be eligible for this Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Hold a master’s degree in environmental sciences, climate sciences, atmospheric sciences, meteorology, hydrology, physics, geography, mathematics, or a related field. Demonstrate significant experience in writing and publishing peer-reviewed scientific papers. Possess autonomy and excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and faculty members. Have proficiency in programming languages such as Fortran, C/C++, Matlab, Python, Julia, R, and experience in handling large climate datasets. Exhibit fluency in English (both oral and written) and an interest in learning and engaging in French interactions.
