Overview
The Masters programs at the Faculty of Science are designed to prepare students for careers in academia, industry, teaching, administration, communication, and media. These programs are available in English, French, or a combination of both languages.
Value & Duration of Award
- Amount: CHF 10’000 to CHF 15’000/year
- Duration: One year, renewable for the regular duration of the chosen Master’s program (three or four semesters), subject to academic success after the first semester.

The Excellence Fellowship is open to students pursuing Master’s degrees in various scientific disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Astrophysics
- Biochemistry
- Biology
- Biomedical Sciences
- Chemical Biology
- Chemistry
- Computer Science
- Earth Sciences
- Environmental Sciences (MUSE)
- Mathematics
- Neuroscience
- Pharmacy
- Physics
- Prehistoric Archaeology
- Bidisciplinary Master of Science
Eligibility
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic performance, ranking within the top 10% of their bachelor’s program.
- Bachelor degree completion or expectation within six months is required.
- Selection is based on academic excellence and evaluation of submitted documentation.
- French proficiency is not mandatory for the Faculty of Science programs.
