Scholarship Details:
The DAAD Postgraduate Scholarship supports candidates for Masters degree from developing countries who have a strong academic and professional background.
Masters or PhD courses in Economic Sciences/Business Administration/Political Economics; Development Cooperation; Engineering and Related Sciences; Mathematics; Regional and Urban Planning; Agricultural and Forest Sciences; Natural and Environmental Sciences; Medicine and Public Health; Social Sciences, Education and Law; and Media Studies.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Currently employed by either a public authority or a state or private company in a developing country, actively involved in the planning and execution of projects focused on development policies in technological, economic, or social areas.
2. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, typically spanning four years of study.
3. Have achieved academic results significantly above average, ranking in the upper third of your academic cohort. Additionally, possess a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience after completing your first degree (bachelor) at the time of application.
4. Your academic degrees should generally not be more than six years old.
•Language Proficiency (For German-Language Courses): If you plan to enroll in study courses taught in German (the scholarship includes a 6-month German language course), you must successfully pass the language examination DSH 2 or TestDaF 4 before starting your study program. Therefore, you should have a minimum German language proficiency of B1 at the time of application, which must be verified by providing a certificate.
•Language Proficiency (For English-Language Courses): For courses taught in English, you must demonstrate adequate language skills in accordance with the regulations of the respective courses.

12 to 42 months (depending on the course of study)
Scholarship benefits:
•Monthly scholarship rate depending on level of training of 934 euros for graduate students or 1,200 euros for doctoral students
•Benefits for health, accident and private liability insurance
•Subsidy towards travel costs, provided the costs are not borne by the home country or another party.
In addition, the following additional benefits can be granted under certain conditions:
•monthly rental assistance
•monthly supplements for family members traveling with you
Required Documents:
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
DAAD Application Requirements:
1. DAAD Application Form: Complete and physically sign and date the form.
2. Up-to-date CV (europass): Prepare an updated CV in europass format, and sign and date it.
3. Motivation Letter: Write a motivation letter (maximum 2 pages), sign, and date it.
4. Certificate(s) of Employment: Provide certificate(s) from your current employer(s) confirming your current employment and validating at least two years of relevant experience between completing your Bachelor’s degree and the application deadline.
5. Proof of English Proficiency: Include documentation showing your English language proficiency.
6. Diploma & Transcript of Records: Submit copies of your diploma and transcripts in their original form. If in a language other than English or German, provide certified translations.
7. University Entrance Qualification (UEQ): Include copies of your secondary school leaving certificate (UEQ) in their original form. If in a language other than English or German, provide certified translations.
8. Ranking Letter (if applicable): Provide additional evidence if needed to confirm your previous degree’s above-average final grade.
9. Recommendation from Current Employer: Obtain a recommendation letter from your current employer, on official letterhead, including your position and the referee’s contact details. Sign and date the recommendation letter.
