Details: MIC offers various postgraduate scholarships covering full tuition fees and stipends for eligible students from European and non-European backgrounds. These include:
- MIC Doctoral Award
- MIC Studentship Awards
- MIC Departmental Assistantships
- MIC Postgraduate Research Merit Awards & Departmental Assistantships
- MIC Postgraduate University of Sanctuary Scholarship Programme
Eligibility Requirements:
- For Master’s applicants: minimum 2:1 qualification in a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
- For PhD applicants: Masters qualification in Geography or a related discipline. In exceptional cases, applicants with a first-class honours Bachelor’s degree may be considered.
- Applicants must apply to one of the available programmes at the Department of Geography and meet entry and English proficiency requirements.
Benefits:
- Stipend ranges from €18,000 to €6,900 per annum.
- Full waiver of tuition fees (up to €6,425).
- PhD programme duration: maximum four years. Masters award duration: maximum two years, starting in September 2024 or January 2025.
